Festival: March 11-15, 2020
Volunteer Application Deadline: January 28, 2020 or until positions are filled
Volunteer Training: Thursday, February 20 and February 29

Want to be a part of Growing Room, Room Magazine’s feminist literary festival? Join us as a volunteer! The festival is back for a fourth year in March 2020, and it’s shaping up to be another incredible celebration! 🙂

All experience and skill levels are welcome. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable volunteers with a passion for the arts. Shifts are flexible, and volunteers sign-up for the shifts that work for them; volunteers will be needed throughout the day/evening on the weekend, as well as some weekday evenings.

There will be two orientation/training sessions to choose from, happening on Thursday, February 20th and February 29th. Please be sure to save the date that works best for your schedule, as attending one of the training sessions is mandatory for all volunteers.

We’re recruiting for a number of general volunteer positions, including: Pre-Festival Volunteers (for late February/early March), Set-up Volunteers (setting up locations for events), Event Volunteers (assisting with readings and panels), Booktable Volunteers (selling books and merch), Transportation Volunteers (driving authors or books; expenses reimbursed), Take-down Volunteers (packing up locations, once all the events there are completed), Workshop Volunteers (assisting in workshops), and Market Volunteers (helping with the festival market).

Detailed job descriptions are here.
