It is with a heavy heart that we have made the decision to cancel the remainder of the in-person Growing Room events scheduled for 2020. 

With an abundance of caution regarding the spread of COVID-19 and the recommendations for social distancing, we decided it was in the best interest of our artists, vendors, staff, volunteers, and the community at large to cancel the festival. We appreciate the support we have received as we have put Growing Room together over the past year. 

Attendees who registered for events will have their registration cancelled. If you require a refund, please reach out to festival@roommagazine.com. However, we do hope that you will consider thinking of this ticket purchase as a donation to help us cover some of the costs incurred in building the festival. 

We will move forward with hosting our online event Get Some Lit Mag Love: How to Publish your Fiction, Poetry, and CNF in Journals on Saturday, March 14th from 11am – 1pm PDT.

We want to thank all of our artists, vendors, and volunteers who agreed to be a part of the festival, and who trusted us to hold them and their work. We also want to thank our attendees and supporters for your continued care. We couldn’t do the work we do without each of you.

We will be in touch in due course about alternative ways to connect with or hear from our incredible lineup of artists.
